Puppies

Well it seems we have officially entered the phase where you want to watch the same thing over and over.

Last week I bought a book about pets at Extra Foods and it came with a DVD. Right away you were interested in watching the dvd. Then on Saturday while I was getting groceries you watched it multiple times with your dad but he said you only wanted to see the furry animals. Now you like to watch it in the mornign after breakfast but you only want to watch the segment about dogs over and over again. Once it's over you come find me to replay the "puppy". At least I don't have to watch it with you - I think I would go crazy!

A True Roughrider Fan

On Sunday we went out to the farm to visit and there happened to be a Roughrider game on. Grandma turned it on and you were so excited! You started yelling Go go go go! In front of the tv and pointing out the players. You even pointed to a tiny picture of a Roughrider on the front page of the paper and yelled "Go". Every time there was a commercial break you got distraught and wanted us to get the football back. At one point you even started pumping your fists in the air while you cheered.

How in the world did grandma manage to make you a fan after only watching one game? Neither your father or I watch football so I guess we'll have to send you to the farm everytime there is a game :P

The Beginning

It seems like only yesterday I was anxiously awating your arrival. Now you are almost 2 years old and I wonder how all that time could have possibly gone by already.

I wrote down all the details of my pregnancy in a journal, and continued your first year. I had every intention of keeping a journal this year but it fell by the wayside. I want to start this blog as a record of all the amazing, funny and not so funny things you do. I want you to be able to read it when you get older and see what a crazy and amazing kid you were.

Righ now you are at the age where you change so much and learn so many new things and I've already missed recording so much of it. I'll try to remember a few of the more recent things.

A few weeks ago your father and I went up to Grey Owl's cabin with your Aunt Emily, your Uncle Paul and Uncle Dan. While we were away you stayed with Grandma (mama) and Grandpa (bapa) Hurd. I guess you and Grandma watched a Rider game and by the end of it she had you cheering "Go Riders Go!". Fast forward a few weeks and we are in Saskatoon at Boston Pizza having supper with Paul, Emily and Grandma. You decided you wanted to go wander so I got up to follow you. You headed over to the lounge and there and on the way you saw a poster of the Roughriders. As soon as you got in front of it you threw out your hand to point at it and yelled "GOOOOOOOO!". Oh dear. We are in trouble!
